Our fourth public gathering was an intimate Bengali feast with melody: a multi-course pescatarian dinner framed as homage to the resourcefulness of the Bengali kitchen — peels, roots, scraps, and the dishes that make do beautifully.

The address stayed RSVP-only. Guests arrived to cha and adda with jhal muri and live poetry, then moved through shukto; pata bata, daler bora, and alu makha; macher paturi and chingri malai curry with rice; and an epilogue of tok and gurer payesh. Vegan alternatives were available on request.

Between courses, collaborative “Blind Verse” poetry and acoustic moments turned the room from strangers into one long table. The night sold out — roughly two dozen seated — and became one of the collective’s strongest pop-ups to date.

Kitchen lead Sarbani cooked with Rohit and the Dalbhat kitchen in support; Maharshi helped curate poetry; Subhasini hosted. Come eat with your hands and listen with your heart — that was the invitation, and the room answered.
